Alana De La Garza has established herself as a household name on the television. De La Garza, a Mexican American father as well as an Irish American mother were born in Columbus Ohio on June 26 the 26th of June, 1976. Then she began moving to Texas to pursue the field of physical therapy within the University of Texas. De La Garza moved from Texas to Orlando Florida and took on diverse roles in independent local film as well as international commercials. Despite her small roles, she soon discovered her love in acting. After 2001, she relocated to New York where her first appearance was on the All My Children's soap-opera in the role of Rosa Santos. During the early part of the decade she was seen in tiny part for JAG Vegas and Two and a Half Men. Her first big series role was the short-lived drama The Mountain. De La Garza, who played Maria Serrano on The Mountain had the privilege of appearing with a variety of famous TV celebrities including Barbara Hershey Oliver Hudson Penn Badgley Mitch Pilegget, and Mitch Pilegget. Her audition was in the top 1000 hopefuls. She was selected as one of just four girls.
